While the current Mountainking lineup is not lacking in the distortion-based effect pedal department, it is mostly what you would call “fuzz”, but there are times when what is called for is that cranked full stack crunch that most simply refer to as “distortion”….yeah, the languageneeds some work, but the point is there was a gap in the lineup that needed t6o be filled….Enter the PWR! The PWR is high gain distortion machine that sounds massive and mean yet keeps chords and individual notes defined and singing. Where as other high gain distortions are noisy and harsh, the PWR has a high signal to noise ratio (that’s a good thing) and a well balanced tone that never sounds brittle. Mountainking pedals are known for their original circuit designs, rock solid, road ready construction and an obsessive attention to detail and the PWR no different. Already the people are talking, “Soon to be a classic”…we shall see….we shall see…
